Inside Sales Executive

Protecode is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Executive with a strong software technology background to join our sales department. This position entails primarily remote customer interactions through audio-visual and other telecommunications tools. The successful candidate will be ultimately responsible for professionally handling incoming leads through various sales stages to a successful closure.  Protecode’s offering is a highly technical solution and the majority of the sales activities involve direct interaction with C level technology players in the target companies. As such a very strong background in software products, software development methods and tools, and software procurement practices are essential prerequisites for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Inside Sales Executive is responsible for driving incoming leads successfully through Protecode’s proven sales process.  Additionally, working with the marketing team, the Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for devising and driving the lead generation programs. Breakdown of the duties include:

  • Managing the incoming leads, filtering and positioning of the prospects based on the target company information,
  • Identifying and establishing communications with key players in the target companies
  • Gathering and communicating customer technical requirements,
  • Presenting technical product information to prospective clients,
  • Organizing and delivering live product demonstrations directly or through Protecode’s sales engineering team,
  • Managing and responding to inquiries from prospects,
  • Preparing commercial proposals and negotiating the successful closure of deals.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in either software development or a software sales engineering environment.
  • Proven sales record in a technology company.
  • A degree or diploma in a software or computer program is an asset.
  • Excellent English (written and oral) communications; familiarity with other languages is an asset.
  • Strong public communications and presentation skills.
  • Experience selling to international clients is an asset.

Technical Sales Engineer

Protecode is currently seeking several experienced Technical Sales Engineers to join our growing sales department. This position entails direct customer technical pre-sales interactions with onsite and remote technical presentations of the company’s portfolio of software license and security management solutions. Consultations and teleconferences (WebEx for example) with global prospects and our reseller partners will also be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for providing support to strategic customer accounts, and supporting the sales team in all customer interactions. The Technical Sales Engineer will act as a bridge between the Sales and Development teams.  Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Gathering customer technical requirements,
  • Presenting technical product information to prospective clients,
  • Developing and delivering live product demonstrations,
  • Providing technical training to clients and partners,
  • Serving as technical resource at field events such as trade shows, conferences, seminars as required, and
  • Identifying technical issues and answering technical questions from accounts to assure customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
  • Some traveling will be involved.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A degree or diploma in a software or computer program is mandatory.
  • A software development background is a strong asset.
  • Must have above-average English written and oral communication skills; other languages are an asset.
  • Very strong communications/presentation skills are also a must.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong selling background combined with technical acumen.
