Mahshad Koohgoli, CEO
Mahshad Koohgoli has more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry. His specialty is in technology start-up businesses, having successfully managed three companies from the ground up. Previously, he was founder and CEO of Nimcat Networks (acquired by Avaya in 2005) and founder of Spacebridge Networks and Lantern Communications Canada. Prior to these ventures, Mahshad held various technical, marketing and senior roles in Newbridge Networks, Bell Northern Research and Nortel. Mahshad has a BSc and a PhD from the University of Sussex, England.
Normand Glaude, COO
Normand Glaude has over 20 years of leadership experience in software development organizations of varying sizes. He also specializes in software architecture and in software development practices. Prior to joining Protecode, Normand was Product Owner at Northforge Innovations. Before that, he was Director of Architecture and System Integration at Bridgewater Systems (recently acquired by Amdocs), and was VP of Technology and Engineering at Performance Technologies. Normand holds B.Sc.A. (Elec. Eng.) and an M.Eng. degrees from the University of Ottawa.
Henry Chin, Director of R&D
With over 20 years experience in the software industry, Henry is responsible for the successful creation and delivery of the company’s product to the marketplace by managing technical risks and opportunities. Prior to joining Protecode, Henry held a position at Oritor as Director of Product Management responsible for product life cycle and organizing product strategy to support Oritor’s business goals. He was an architect at Natural Convergence Inc. providing hosted PBX solution for enterprises. Henry also held management positions in March Networks and CrossKeys Systems. Henry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and Executive MBA from University of Ottawa.
Thomas Bergeron, Director of Finance
Thomas Bergeron is a specialist in the management and growth of entrepreneurial companies. Before joining Protecode he was involved with a number of entrepreneurial companies developing film and television projects. Previously, he was one of the first permanent staff hired to deliver Ontario tax credits to the film and television industry at the Ontario Media Development Corporation, becoming an expert in public funding programs. He also executive produced Travelling Alone, a drama and educational project that appeared on Global Television. He graduated from McGill University, Faculty of Arts, with a specialty in Film and Communications, and York University’s Schulich School of Business.
