Protecode Teams Up With Klocwork to Offer Open Source Audit Services

Protecode’s Audit Services for open source and third party license management are now also available from Klocwork, our newest partner for this services offering.

Klocwork’s Code Assessment Services utilize their industry-leading static analysis tools to provide detailed defect information as well as a comprehensive overview of the target application. 

An optional Open Source Audit capability, using Protecode Enterprise Analyzer™, will now extend that service to include identification and inventory of all open source and third-party software components which may be present in the target application. This combined Professional Service solution is available for critical business events such as an M&A or a significant product launch.

Klocwork's Code Assesment Services include:

• A Discovery session with the owner of the target code base, to fully understand technical requirements of the engagement.
• Two code scan iterations – one to present initial findings and gather feedback followed by a second pass to analyze and triage the results.
• A final Code Assessment Report and presentation which summarizes our findings and provides a reference point for future analyses.
• The full list of detailed findings in Microsoft Excel format which can be further analyzed as you wish.

The optional Open Source Audit includes the following services and deliverables:

• Identification and inventory of all open source and third-party software components which may be present in the target application(s).
• Identification and inventory of all software licenses and copyrights associated with identified software components.
