Mahshad Koohgoli is founder and CEO of Protecode, with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. In his previous lives, he was a founder and CEO of Nimcat Networks (acquired by Avaya in 2005), founder of Spacebridge Networks and Lantern Communications Canada, and held senior roles in Newbridge Networks, Bell Northern Research and Nortel. Mahshad has a BSc and a PhD from University of Sussex in England.

Kia Mousavi is co-founder and CTO of Protecode, with years of software industry experience holding key positions as technical team lead, senior software architect and chief systems integrator with companies such as Alcatel, Nortel, Siemens and Ubiquity Software (acquired by Avaya in 2007). He has also provided technology consulting to Adobe Systems, IBM and Juniper Networks. Kia holds an Electrical Engineering degree from University of Ottawa.

Richard Mayer deals with software intellectual property issues as Vice President of Marketing for Protecode. With more than 20 years in both startup and large corporate environments, he offers a breadth of experience and understanding of customer and technology challenges in the telecommunications and IT sectors. Prior to joining Protecode, Richard held senior marketing, product management and sales roles including an international posting in Nortel and JDSU. Richard has a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Carleton University.
